Folder-gluing is the critical final converting stage that transforms flat, die-cut blanks into collapsed, pre-glued cartons ready for rapid erection on packing lines. Operating at speeds up to 400 metres per minute, SHMI multi-point folder-gluers pre-break score lines, fold flaps smoothly along precise matrices, and deposit controlled micro-beads of adhesive with zero squeeze-out.
Equipped with computerized cold PVA disc systems and electronic hot-melt guns, our lines produce straight-line retail cartons, crash-lock auto bottoms (which snap open instantly on packing lines), four-corner trays, and six-corner lidded boxes. Every carton is verified via optical sensor systems that detect glue placement and reject defective units in real time.
